Agyapong Gyamfi - Cloud Security Engineer

I am Agyapong Gyamfi, a Cloud Security Engineer focused on securing AI agents, MCP servers, and the cloud infrastructure they depend on.

My background combines cloud engineering, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, enterprise technical support, databases, networking, and production troubleshooting. I have worked across regulated and mission-critical environments where uptime, clear communication, security controls, root-cause analysis, and documentation matter.

I am strongest where infrastructure, security, and operations overlap: diagnosing complex issues, understanding how systems fail, designing safer access paths, automating repeatable work, and translating technical problems into clear action.

My current direction

My career focus is cloud security and DevSecOps, with a growing specialization in AI infrastructure security. As organizations adopt AI agents, MCP servers, automated workflows, and cloud-connected tools, the security questions become more important: What can the agent access? Where are secrets stored? How are cloud roles assumed? How are actions logged? How are CI/CD pipelines protected? How do we detect abuse?

Those are the problems I am positioning myself to solve: securing the infrastructure, identities, pipelines, data paths, and operational controls behind modern cloud and AI-enabled systems.

What I work on

How I got here

My path runs through enterprise technical support, cloud engineering, and cybersecurity — years of incident response, systems troubleshooting, and clear technical communication under pressure, across databases, networking, Linux and Windows, and multi-cloud environments. That operational background is why I approach security as something that has to work in production, not just satisfy a checklist: I've been the person restoring service at 2 a.m., and it shows in how I design controls.

Why I write

This site is where I document practical lessons from the work I do and the skills I am building. I write about architecture decisions, security tradeoffs, mistakes, fixes, and the reasoning behind hardening modern infrastructure.

For confidentiality and security reasons, I do not publish sensitive implementation details from employer, client, or production environments. Instead, I focus on transferable lessons, safe technical patterns, and practical explanations that demonstrate how I think through cloud, DevSecOps, and security problems.
